In this thirty-first episode of SCDP's ECHO podcast, Dr. Gavin Harris reviews the Region IV Special Pathogens of Concern Situation Report. Panelists Dr. Marshall Lyon, Dr. Angela Hewlett, and Jill Morgan, RN, BSN provide guidance on how to identify special pathogens. The panel reviews three patient cases and discusses differentials, testing, patient management, isolation protocols, PPE/infection prevention, and waste management.
